At SiO2, we don’t believe in over-saturated, pre-compressed sounds that leave no room for your own creativity. Our Studio Packs offer pure, uncolored ingredients. Recorded at 24-bit / 48 kHz through a high-end Midas console and Klark Teknik converters, our samples preserve the authentic transients, voltage variations, and dynamic headroom of the original hardware.
Whether you are looking for meticulous step-by-step tunings of iconic drum machines or single-cycle waveforms from rare synthesizers, SiO2 provides the definitive foundations for your sonic canvas.
The definitive hardware archive of a 1984 classic. Captured in pristine 24-bit / 48kHz quality through Midas Pro preamps.
SiO2 is the sonic laboratory and recording space of electronic music artist Arjen Schat (also performing as Ohrwert). Located in the Netherlands, the studio has been the birthplace of deep electronic music, Berlin-school sequences, and dub techno textures since 2016.
Built around a philosophy of tactile exploration, SiO2 houses a curated collection of vintage drum computers, rare synthesizers, and boutique analog hardware. Every sample pack, waveform collection, and instrument bank released under the SiO2 name is crafted here. No shortcuts, no over-processing – just the raw, dynamic power of classic hardware, preserved in pristine quality for the modern producer.
